AssetFrog started from the idea that asset management and depreciation should go hand-in-hand. Everything you purchase comes with a price tag and a receipt, so it just makes sense that you should have a system that can handle both. There wasn’t an affordable and accurate solution on the market for this.

What is AssetFrog used for?
At it’s core, AssetFrog is a tool designed to save you time. It enables you to have a proper and accurate online database of your assets. If you’ve ever wondered how many keyboards you have in storage or who left their laptop in the lunch room, then it’s worth taking a look at AssetFrog.
Have complete insight into your business assets at a glance. Remove your dependence on spreadsheets. Streamline your facilities and IT procurement by scanning and entering new equipment as you purchase it.
How to use AssetFrog for asset management
Scan asset tags using your mobile device and enter as much or as little detail as you like. Create and view the newly created asset immediately, or scan another and reuse the previously entered information.
Here are some of AssetFrog’s major features:
- Barcode / QR / tag scanner built straight into the web app
- Sites / locations / areas / categories
- Asset allocation
- Asset maintenance
- Depreciation
- Document upload
- History of all actions on an asset
- Mass imports & updates
- Custom fields
We built AssetFrog with efficiency in the forefront of our minds. When we build a new asset management feature, we always build something that we are prepared to use ourselves. AssetFrog (the company) is also a customer of AssetFrog, and we also want to use a great product.
Using import templates you can instantly update or insert 1000s of assets at a time. The import feature is a powerful tool when working in bulk. Bought 100 chairs? Use an import to quickly add them to the program with the ability to update any field.

Allocate your assets to have a clear view of where they are
Staff and sites can have assets allocated to them so that you know where a particular asset sits at any moment. A complete log of allocations is kept to show the full journey of an asset.
As well as allocating the asset, you can set the asset’s Site, Location and Area, all customisable and changeable by you. Using powerful views you can take these fields and create your own dashboards so you can track each and every asset.
If you’ve ever lost track of a power tool, or can’t tell me how many tables your business owns, then AssetFrog might be the app to help you take control of your assets.
Upload and secure documents and invoices
You can upload documents to each individual asset so that every user has access. Upload the asset’s invoice or receipt, or simply jump on your phone and use your camera to take a photo.
See all important information about each document, and also add your own descriptive notes, to quickly and easily identify every document.
All documents are encrypted before uploaded to our secure storage, decrypted only when requested by you through the application. Regular backups are taken and versions are maintained for peace of mind and security.

Use AssetFrog to calculate depreciation schedules
Alongside the powerful asset management features you normally expect in an asset management system, we have baked in an easy way to manage your asset’s depreciation schedule. Calculating depreciation can be annoying and tedious, and sometimes even expensive. We’ve developed a way to take that calculation back into your hands to save you time and money.
Enter a few basic fields and AssetFrog will automatically generate that asset’s lifetime depreciation schedule. Do this for all assets that you’d like to depreciate and you’ll be able to run customised depreciation reports effortlessly at the click of a button.
